Do know of other interesting blogs?
I am always looking for interesting links. For this section, I am interested in blogs or sites:
- by aid workers or development workers,
- from expats and adventurers living in or travelling through exotic places.
- promoting humanitarian activism, aid news, development issues...
- well written
- regularly updated
- appealing (aid blogs should contain pictures)
- inspiring
- be at least six months old
- preferably in English, as most of my audience reads English.
How can you forward me a blog, or remark?
Either drop me a note via peter (at) theroadtothehorizon (dot) org
or even easier: leave a comment in this post.
Thanks for helping in keeping this list up to date!
Peter

We would be interested in a link exchange.
best regards
anuparp
Hi Anuparp,
will be watching your blog and see after a couple of months if the posts keep coming! With you the best of luck.
PS: there is something wrong with your template... The way I view it, your posts start only to show where the text in your side columns stops...

Thanks for adding my blog, Owen Abroad (at www.owen.org/blog)
You've listed it as US. Actually I live in Ethiopia, in Addis Ababa.
You might also be interested in my development podcast, Development Drums:

Thanks for the great site.
Here in Eastern Congo I don't get to talk to too many expats so it is fascinating to see such a collection of blogs from aid workers across the world. If you could add my blog, I'd appreciate it.
@Shona:
Glad to add your blog! Will be up in the next release of the aidblogs widget!!
There are not that many blogging aidworkers around, so I am always happy with 'a new discovery'!!
Can I add your blog to the list of http://www.aidworkers.net aidblogs too?
Hi,
I'm an aid worker currently in the Philippines, so here's some self promotion of my blog http://chasingcarly.blogspot.com

Hi Peter, my blog is very new and I am trying to enlighten Nigerians and Africans in general about the wild polio virus. I also talk about various public health issues and the role individuals have to play in their immediate environments.
my blog is www.kickpolio.wordpress.com
Cheers,
Zainab
Hi Peter,
Still no word from you as regards my blog...will it be added to your next updated lists?
Thanks,
Zainab
@Zainab,
I am glad that you found inspiration in the #IFWF3 work. It is good to define the purpose of your blog as you did... More insights will follow as you go along...
One tip: if you take over articles from other blogs, then I'd suggest to only take over excerpts (not the whole article), and to certainly put a link back to the original article (e.g. "Read the full article", and then link back. Or "Original article published on..." and a link back)..
On list blogs in my list: blogs need to be at least 6 months old. So remind me in a couple of months, and I can include it..
Best of luck to you!
Peter
Thanks for the tip Peter...and yes, i will definitely remind you about the addition in a few months time..
Regards,
ZAINAB
I would be honored if you would include my blog in your blog roll. I'm a young American teaching in the south of France for the past three years. I realized that I could not settle for an ordinary life as soon as I moved to Europe, and have decided to make my life here. It has not been easy, but I'm finding that the sacrifices have been worth it. When I'm not teaching English and learning valuable life lessons, I'm either painting for traveling throughout Europe and North Africa.
