expand-collapse test.

Update: Feb 11:
Thanks to all who helped with the test. Meanwhile, I have implemented the first script to expand the blog posts, and the second to expand the side column frames.

Thanks for helping out with the test. Here are two expand/collapse tests.

The first uses a simple script, which shows an instant expand/shrink.
The second is a more complex script, which shows a smoother and fading expand/shrink.

For each, click on the "Full/Short post" link to toggle between shrink and expand.

I want to know if both work in your browser and which of the two you prefer.
Please leave a comment on this post with your feedback.

Thanks - Peter.

Here we go:

Test 1 (instant expand/collapse):

I prefer the first method as the second one doesn't look smooth to me.

I'm on Firefox 3.0.5
