Just received an friendly email from Blogger (my blogprovider)

Now let me get this straight, dear Blogger. Just because you "suspect" my blog to be spam (which is not difficult to check), if I would not be online for 20 days (which happens when I am travelling), you would just d-e-l-e-t-e this blog? Two years of work, gone? Just like that? On suspicion of being spam?
Well, now I know what your logo reminds me of:
Peter. Flemish, European, aid worker, expeditioner, sailor, traveller, husband, father, friend, nutcase. Not necessarily in that order.

I find this shocking. We know that "Google" with all its "nice" things is something like "Big brother watching us". And they are not able to distinguish a real good blog from a spam thing?
Shame on them. Luckily they have a "grace" period of 20 days. So, at least there is a chance to "correct" the thing. If.....
A long time ago, I got a message like this as well. But they gave me instructions on how to remove my blog from the spam filter or the spam list. Make sure spammers are not posting links through your comment system. if they have, find those comments and delete them. Because what link your blog links to matters when it comes to spamming and google's ranking system.
This why you should never use Blogger or any other blogging service. By using them you are giving away control of your intellectual property.
